Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admits facing Liverpool is a challenge every time and games like this make the Premier League the best league.

“Reds” in the Anfield area, it’s 2-2 in the game, with the rhythm in which both teams open the front to exchange fun until the last minute.

“It’s a great game. This is why over the years Man City and Liverpool have always been there because we try to play like this. Unfortunately, we didn’t win, but we didn’t lose. This is why the Premier League is the best league. Really great,” Pep told Sky Sports after the game.

“Phil is a special player, we know that. He was only injured back from the national team. He’s an amazing footballer. Not only him but everyone is doing great.”

“Milner’s situation, it should have been a yellow card for sure. It’s Anfield Stadium, Old Trafford Stadium. In our situation, City would have been kicked out. It’s too obvious that it should be the second yellow.

I know how difficult it is to face this player and manager. Every time it’s a wonderful ending for us.”

“The way we played at Stamford Bridge, Paris and today shows that we are a great team. We played like that and lost in Paris and drawn here is good. I hope we can keep our form and the players returning from the national team will be safe.”
